Our chickens are pastured as well as fed an organic broiler feed. We raise slow growing meat birds, Freedom Rangers, that forage well.
We are growing over 1000 meat birds. The first batch will be ready July 6 and available for your dinner table. Then a batch per month through November.
We sell whole broilers (giblets and neck included) averaging 4-5 lbs each. You can choose to receive them fresh (especially if you wish to part them out before freezing) or frozen.
On Saturday, August 19th we will be hosting a chicken butchery class from 10 am-noon, class fee: $10. Steve will show you how to break down whole birds into individual parts. We’ll also go over the essentials of making stock and other bits of chicken info. Space is limited, please let us know if you’d like to come.
