Join Us for a Hands-On Chicken Processing Workshop!

Spend a full day on the farm learning the art and science of humane, small-scale chicken processing. With a maximum of 20 participants, this intimate, hands-on experience offers an in-depth look at every step—from pasture to plate.

The day kicks off at 8 AM with Farmer Steveo, who will walk you through chicken brooding, chicken tractors, rotational pasturing, and the critical steps of preparing birds for a clean slaughter. Then, Sam Margolin will lead a hands-on slaughter demonstration, ensuring you gain confidence in humane and efficient processing.

A well-earned lunch is included, giving time for conversation and reflection before the afternoon session. After lunch, you’ll dive into chicken butchery, where you’ll learn to part out and bag your chilled birds. Finally, Seren will share insights on marketing and selling pasture-raised poultry, followed by a visit to the Farm Store for inspiration.
