Maple, Vanilla, Almond Granola

If I was going to name our children, what I ate most during pregnancy, they would both be named granola. And this is the granola that they would be.




Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/2 Tablespoon salt (I use kosher)

  • 3/4 + cup oil (I use sunflower, but could be any oil with mild flavor or coconut if you like the flavor)

  • 7 cups thick cut rolled oats

  • 2 cups chopped raw almonds


Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees

  • Whisk together: maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, salt

  • Once all dissolved together add oil.

  • Once that is a cohesive syrup add thick cut rolled oats and chopped raw almonds (I use the food processor to chop)

Mix well


Bake for 40-45 minutes at 325 degrees on cookie sheets
